Default Anyone interested in a Z sub box?

Here's a couple pics of two sub boxes I've made. They act as a partition and sub box in one. I can make these with a cutout for whichever subwoofer you choose square as shown or round if you want. 2 or 4 woofers ect. Let me know what you're interested in and I can probably make it happen. They weigh approx 24-25lbs. The one's shown are 8.5-9" deep into the trunk as you can see, but dimensions can be adjusted according to the subs and could be made as shallow as 4-5" to save trunk space. PM me if interested!

PICS ADDED WITH 10" round SUB BOX/PARTITION

That is outstanding work 01QSZ06, do you have a template or dimensional drawing of the partition outline. I would like to make my own divider?

Very- Very nice work ! How are you connecting up to the Bose system to get the bass feed ? Can you plug in/out/remove easily if you need the space ?

Looks good ...........

I have an aftermarket head unit and front speakers, but factory blose in the rears for a little sound faded to the fronts mostly. The subs of course are run off an amp with rca's and remote wire turning it on. I can take the box out in less than 5 minutes and put it back in the same.

Great looking box! I had a similar idea before, but I'm not that good with wood...

I'd also be interested in one (for 2 - 10" round subs...)
Please email me with a price...

This box can be customized almost anyway you want... ported, plexiglass, angled subs, etc. If you have an idea and want to see if I can make it pm me or email j_burback@yahoo.com The box pictured (2/3/4 subs) I can do for a donation. Can't charge real money as I'm not a forum vendor!

Nice looking work!

I'm interested in doing something a little more exotic! I'd like to to a partinio replacement, that fits forward a little more (like almost giving me my entire trunk area (my car is a C5Z06). Something that goes at like an angle, 45 or so from the base just behind the seats to the rear.

So like:

_|| seat

partition

_|| __|_
\hatch hole

I'd want something like:

_||/---_
\

That starts directly behind the seat! (hahaha, those "pics" are horrible )

So I'd rather lose the "shelf" behind the seats and optimize the space left in the "trunk"

And in fiberglass/plexi, I'd get it painted MY to match the car, probably do 2 10's and a nice amp mounted real slick looking in the center (?)

I'm up/over in St. Augustine, BTW!

Thanks for any insight, info, pricing, etc!

You're right those pics are horrible!! I think I have a basic idea of what you're looking for.. Give me a couple days to look at mine and maybe come up with a concept drawing. I think you'd better cross your fingers on this one though!

Hahaha, sounds good, I'll do a little MS paint doodle or something - maybe photo edit something on an actual picture of the car.

Thanks ~

I went to CarToys today and got a quote on a subbox for my Z and they wanted freakin 450 bucks for a basic box that just sits there. Your box is awsome and I love how nice it blends in with the interior. Very nicely done. You should startup a website and you could sell these things like crazy. I might buy one from you.

I'd love to sell them like crazy, unfortunately I have a day job too. This is more of a for fun venture... Which is why the donation is so reasonable, you really can't beat it. Shipping is around $50 . I would estimate it takes me around 10-15 hours to build one but have to do it in stages to let the glue dry, then the silicone, etc. I would love to make 3-4 a month though, I love woodworking and hooking up fellow corvette/audio enthusists!

Im ready to buy one now. However, I have the lingenfelter mini tub kit. Do you have a way to adjust for that difference in the wheel wells. How could we get those measurements accurately?
I probably just want 2 8" subs. I will be putting in aftermarket clarion dual din stereo/dvd.
thanks. Jason in NM
