Look what winter storage did to my C5!! (pics)
There is no justice!
After months of storage I popped the hood and saw this. This little thug and his buddies ate and/or carted off my coil packs, fuel rails and just about everything else. (Yeah, i know, a hood seal would have prevented this.) As the pic shows, I had to fab up stuff to get my car moving. Luckily, it didn't take long -- about 45 minutes and I was rolling.
Interior ravaged!
My custom interior didn't escape the skullduggery-- dangling wires below the steering wheel are all that's left of my 14-hour Column Lock Block install; gaping hole in center console shows where my mobile Viagra and beer dispenser once was.
Help arrives!
Everyone knows that in order to earn Zeus-levels of Forum Cred (sack), you must disassemble your C5 at least once. I knew I didn't have the skills to tackle that on my own, so I hired some help. It would have been expensive, too -- the teardown took all afternoon -- but the Mod Doctors gave me an generous AARP discount.
