I don't get it, but most body shops do a **** poor job of putting the badges back on... you can get the measurements from the forum.

I will DEFINITELY bring that to their attention...

I debated on leaving them off completely, for the 100% smooth look as others have suggested.

And thanks for the compliments guys - I'm very happy with it!!!! I just got back from New York, and am really looking forward to getting it next week!!

Can someone help me out here with the exact placement of these emblems on the fenders?? I did a couple of searches, and didn't find anything.. I also printed out pictures, but I don't want there to be any questions...

Thanks

Per the service manual.

It is 216.5 mm (8.50 inches) from the top of the fender to the bottom of the emblem at the front edge.

It is 212.74 mm (8.40 inches) from the top edge of the fender to the bottom of the emblem at the rear edge.

It is 158.51 mm (6.24 inches) for the rear edge of the front fender to the rear edge of the emblem.

^ We need some good sunlight pics to really see the new shade... at first glance it does look like EB. I'd think it was EB if I hadn't been following the thread and can see the increased flake.

I agree 100%. Without SEEING it (in person OR in the sun) you'd definitely think that, especially if you didn't look back at the 90 pages in this thread , but, it took quite a few tries to hit the subtle changes that we agreed on. It's just enough to set it aside from EB if sat side by side...

Plus, this car has great sentimental value to me, so selling it isn't an option.. This is by no means a "waste" -- It's getting buried with me

I talked to the shop today. The car comes home on Friday!!!!!!!

The emblems are in their 100% correct location (thanks to you guys) and the car is almost at 100% (one last wash)!!

I can't wait.. I picked up a brand new F350 Super Duty last night, so I can't wait to get my two "new" vehicles together in one shot!!
