Re: values of Z06 (KDubb)
Yes - they discontinued white for a reason - no one wanted it. If you like it buy it. Don't buy it for collectibility reasons, that isn't going to make much of a difference. While white is the rarest color, they made hundreds. Now if they had only made a dozen or so...

Re: values of Z06 (wt2ga)
Wow  Only 352 Speedway white Z's were made. That is pretty rare...no wonder I have never seen one in person

Re: values of Z06 (BIG LAW MAN)
I saw one Speedway White going down the highway. I liked it the best. I wanted white. Now, if they drop silver next year I'll be POed. Buy the white if your buying used IMO. Good Luck!

03QSZ06,
Man, I like your Iroc-Z. I had an '89 Iroc-Z back in '94-'96. It was my first car. A metallic blue automatic with grey leather. My Dad and I fixed it up before I could drive. I thought it was the fastest thing on wheels. I really still like those cars, and would like to pick up another one some day and fix it up as a daily driver.

I did not even consider white. But when I saw one (with the mod red interior), I had to have it. It turned out to be a very good decision. :D

Due to the attacks, prices are dropping, since no one is buying.
No one is buying Corvettes (or anything else) right now. I'm embarrassed to say it, but it's true, America is panicking. Just what the terrorist want.
Sorry, but if you are desperate to sell and have got to unload, your gonna get wacked hard.

Well, I think I got a great deal on a 2001 z06 w/500 miles at 42500. i love this car! It is incredible. I don't see how a 2002 can be any better, certainly not $10000 plus tax better!

The smile value is priceless.
All cars depreciate until they are virtually extinct or very rare.
As long as the general is making Z06's they will depreciate.
After the 03's there will be an abscence. If they do not come back - Hello ! :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:

Re: values of Z06 (Zapper)
I'm not so sure Z06 values will rebound significantly, if at all. The combination of the economic downturn and 0% financing has essentially decreased demand and increased supply. Resale and trade-in values today reflect the situation, as it seems 01 Z06 cars are worth something in the high $30's trade-in. Assume they are made in 03, perhaps with significant anniversary year options or packages, and the 01 and 02 cars take another hit. If the C6 debuts as a 2004, then all C5 cars will lose value, just as the C4 did in 97 when the C5 arrived. It is true that the last year of a model may be worth more than the first year of the next in the medium to long term - would you rather have a 96CE or 97? A mint 82 or a mint 84? A 67 or a 68? Seems to me I would take the earlier year in each case. However, for this to be valid a number of years has to go by. Also, very few cars produced in more than a few hundred numbers will ever increase in value - notable exceptions are 65 Mustangs, select vintage VW Bugs, and some Corvettes. The Z06, as much as 15% total C5 production, is likely to be a depreciating used car for some time. However, this does nothing to take away from the overall value and smile factor! Sometimes fun costs money!
