I seem to remember that there is approx. 23 cu ft of storage space in a coupe. Hope this helps. On another note, some 2001 corvettes had issues with burning oil. 2002 & up I think were ok.

thanks for the compliments and advice everyone! I am going to look at a few on the used lot at the local chevy dealer this weekend and see what I think. always loved the c5's, and the bang for your buck seems outstanding on the resale market.
what are the non-z06 02's, 03's rated at hp/torque 0-60? just curious how much faster they are than the 69 lol. it is hard to believe that the newest corvette I have ever been in was a 74

The coupe has about 23-24 cubic feet of storage space - much more than many cars out there. I know I have crammed a lot of stuff in the back of mine at times.

Actually the 01 and up are the good C5 years. They got lots of upgrades over the 97-00. The only main issue is early 01's. The early 01's use oil due to low tension oil rings. They dont smoke, the oil just gets a quart or so low every 1-3k miles. Mine is 01289 and it uses oil. Its no biggie though. I would have preferred not to use oil, but just check it regularly and do a top engine clean twice a year. I think its a good buying point, get a discount, lol. If you drive like a grandpa, it wont use oil. If you rape the gas pedal alot, it will. So mine uses oil

I had a black on black 97 coupe and was very suprised with the storage space. When I decided to sell it and go with my 04 Z06 I thought, oh well for the extra horse power I may lose a little storage. I was very suprised that I was still able to get two sets of golf clubs, a large over night bag, a smaller overnight bag, two fishing poles and my tackle box (long vacation from Florida to PA). Even Z06's have a ton of storage. People are still amazed when I take it to the golf course, pull out my golf clubs and they get a look inside. Don't overlook the Z06's. You will be suprised. On another note, that has to be one of the prettiest 69's I have ever seen!

The rear area is large. I think you could fit a small family of illegals back there!

Seriously go and drive a C5. Your questions will go away and you will own one shortly after that.

thanks everyone

I went to look at a 2003 at the dealer yesterday. I am amazed at how much cargo room that car has! I didnt have time to drive it, but it is very comfortable to sit in, and the layout is nice.
I think if I drive it, I will certainly have to have it lol.
0-60 in a stock 6 speed c5 from 02/03 is what....mid 4's?
