Default Flameball install, any advice?

I know a lot of guys here have a flameball shift ****. Anyone have some specific info on exactly which wire you tapped to get your power, how you got the shifter boot to sit higher, etc?

I tapped into the fog light switch for power. I leave the switch turned on all the time, when the lights come on, the flameball comes on

I found one of th wires for the HVAC and tapped into it. Searched for one that activates with the parking lights so that whenever it is dark enough to need the parking lights or headlights, the flameball will light up as well.

A search for "flameball instrucitons" in the C5 archives yeilds a whole page of references.

Thanks, bro, that's just what I needed! Obviously I am doing something wrong in my searching. I don't get the references you came up with when I search the whole C5 section. I am not seeing an archive section. Would be good to know where to find it!

I tapped into a brown wire that illuminates the traction control button. It was the easiest place to get power and was right there. You don't have to yank everything else apart.
