Another Lambo thread - the LSD's are for real!!!
Been wanting to do the Lambo door thing for a long time now. After looking at what was available for the C5 I just could not find a kit that I was happy with. Well, I had read about the LSD kit in a recent thread here, but had not seen one in person. I sent LSD an email asking about their kits and to my surprise they actually called me to answer all my questions and then some Here's some preliminary pics of my install of the LSD kit on the passenger side.
Here's the kit as it comes, very well made and very complete...
The initial fit up and install went very well
In the open position, notice the cover plate for the wiring harness that comes in the kit.
Here's a shot from the inside
Here's the one piece that makes these hinge kits so much different. LSD calls it the "Magic Stick" and they are right. This one piece keeps the door aligned at the bottom and prevents all wooble when you're opening or closing the door. It lines the striker up everytime and you don't have to worry about lining the door up before you close it
And here you go...

How much? Is it a complete bolt on( because some kits says it's a complete bolt on but not really)? Some of the kits out there, you have to trim the door a little bit, any cutting you needed to do? What's the skill level needed, out of 10 skill 10 being you needed a professional to do and 1 you're child can do it . Thanks!

Very cool Gary
Are the hinges like Jim's door hinges where they can be opened normally or vertically?

Here's the application page listing the C5 - http://www.lsd-doors.com/indexlsd.html
MSRP on the LSD kit is $2499.00, you can find them cheaper on the web Just Google for LSD dealers
Here's the installation instructions - I would rate the install about a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10 as mentioned above.
Todd, they do open normally or vertically just like Jim's
Thanks

Gary,
I have previosuly not been a fan of these kits - specifically because all the ones I have seen had one, or more issues.
From what you have indicated. LSD should become a major player in this mod.
BTW - time for install was?

I've finished the passenger side, just getting started on the drivers side. I'll probably have about 10 hours total doing the install.

I like it, but I have yet to see a pic the really shows how much room you have, could you take pics of someone exiting the car and parked next to another car please?
