1.Considering I have no garage, it's bad enough I have my 99 hardtop out in the rain all summer long (in storage over the winter months), it would be too depressing to have a brand new C6 sitting out there right now in the elements.
2.Also the money ....have to wait for the used ones to come down in price before considering a C6.

I recently had my C5 rebuilt so as of now I am driving an almost brand new 99 all over again. 
With 800 FWHP on tap... buying ANYTHING else would be a big step in the wrong direction as far as HP goes... 
I will continue to drive and enjoy my Corvette until I wear it out.

I like the lines and supercar look of my '01 coupe, besides that, I'm stingy and prefer to let someone else take the first $20K of depreciation.
I don't like like the looks of the C-6, the front looks like a Miata on steroids.

My wife asked me if we suddenly had the money would I want the new Z06. First reaction was yes, but then I thought about it and I could keep my 99FRC, buy a 96 Grandsport and a track day car car. Always wanted to own 3 good cars, so that would be the answer. Now if I hit the lottery I will a barn to hold all of the cars I will be buying.

Made the last payment a few month's ago. Now I can drive a Corvette for FREEEEEE 
for the rest of my life, or it breaks down, which ever comes first.
Sorry, a C6 isn't that good. But I would trade, even up for one.

IMO the C5 just looks better. I waited a long time for a Vette because I just did not like the looks of the C4's and later C3's. I think GM got it right with the design of the C5 although the interior has room for improvement. The C6 just does not do it for me, even with the added power and handling. It's just too easy to upgrade a C5 to equal the performance of the C6 and you can still keep the looks..

Mine's paid for and modified just like I like it and I don't want to start over. Maybe in a few years I'll pick up a low milage c6 zo6 when they get down to about 40K........
