Default Got hit by a CAT Constuction Vehicle.

Have a bad week. I was sitting at red light and got hit by Front Loader CATEPILLAR Constuction Vehicle with a backhoe with a load of sand in the Front Loader. I look up in my rear view mirror and see the thing coming up on me and is not going to stop so I floor it a second too late right when his frontloader went through my rear window. If I wouldn't of saw him coming he would of ran right the Fu** over me.
Luckily I got out of the way and only substained a broken rear window, a cracked trunk, and cracked roof and rear end. No damage to the frame or anything important.

Jesus Christ You were lucky man. Good to hear you are ok, and good luck on getting the vette fixed. Hopefully you can get a good amount of money out of this from the buisnesses insurance plan and get some upgrades

He had the front loader up in the air so he said he couldn't see what was in front of him. The cops gave a ticket for not maintaining his field of visions while driving.

A ticket from the cops? Geezus, what a moron. He should have his license yanked. You hurt your neck right? RIGHT? RIGHT?.

Alot of people would retire from an accident like that....

Holy cr-p! Did you need new upholstery on the driver seat, too? I know I would have to get rid of the stains. Glad you sustained as little, if you can call it that, damage. And you're okay, too, except for that neck pain mentioned before.

Good thing you punched it when you did. It sounds as if it could have been much worse.

Glad you're OK. I do agree with some of the others though. There's obviously something wrong with this guy. If it were me I'd get an attorney and make sure he doesn't work again... unless you count standing on the street corner holding a carboard sign working. Then again, I may be full of spite.

No, make the SOB work for a living to pay you for the damage. No need of the taxpayers supporting another jerk on welfare cause he "can't find a job". Just make sure he is driving a wheel barrow not heavy construction vehicles.

Damages were actually very slight. Luckily. As I said I took off full speed right at the exact second he hit me. So he actually just gave me a big push off. So the damage was mainly to my rear window with some deep scatches on the trunk lid. Which the scratch near the window, which is the same body panel as the roof, and the ones on the trunk cracked/got punctured about a centimeter.

A couple pixs:

http://www.pix4ever.com/picture.php?...&image_id=1203

http://www.pix4ever.com/picture.php?...&image_id=1202
(Shows the area where the body panel which is also the same body panel of the roof got puntured.)

From the pictures you would of never thought I got hit by a front loader, since I saw it coming and tried to take off. Other wise my car would of been a big pancake.

Still waiting for the damage estimate from the body shop.
