Drivers side window is loose, advise needed
MY 2000 vert with only 8800 mi has a problem with the driver side window. Before I dig into the tip in adjustment or pull the door panel I figured I would tap the forum for some insight. when the window is rolled all the way up it has about 4-5 mil of play from side to side, not front to back, when the windows down, no rattels etc. When you open or shut the door it sounds loose and sloppy compared to the passenger side. Seems the something is worn or loose, or do I need to adjust the tip in a little to compensate for wear, any ideas?

I had to do the tip-in adjustment on my 2001 coupe to fix wind noise. It's pretty simple. If you have the CD shop manual it explains it very clearly. Mine has never been "loose" but it's pretty easily flexed when all the way up and the door is open.

Sounds like yours is doing the same thing mine is. I just took apart the door (getting painted) and there is a clip at the very bottom that somehow got broken which causes the problem. I should have some pictures of the culprit some time next week.
