You've heard of the Bermuda Triangle, right? Well, this is the Corvette Triangle.......

Tools have a way of mysteriously disappearing into it - never to be heard from again......

Actually - now that I've gotten that out of my system - I really did use one of those magnetic extending wands and I was able to snag it. Here's a pic of what's in that hole......

Happy hunting!

Well, I followed the directions above to try and retreive my battery terminal hold-down nut. I found I had to remove the wheel for easier access.
I searched inside there, but did not find it.
I'm glad you other guys had more luck

Default Worse Problem

A bunch of years ago I was helping a friend install new solid lifters in his '67 427 & we dropped a small bolt into a lifter bore. Luckily, we were able to see it & eventually retrieved it with a magnatized screwdriver.

Don't feel bad. Went to take out my battery today and dropped the first damn socket I tried on the bolt head. Had to jack her up, remove the wheel, and open the panel just to get in there.

However, thank you. If I hadn't seen this thread a couple days ago, I'dve never known how to access that low area.

I did the same thing once and the DIC starting throwing a code that said; idiot...idiot...idiot...idiot...idiot... idiot.

There is no extreme that I won't go to demonstrate my point for my CF buddies! Actually - it wasn't my fender - it was a Vette owned by some guy in the parking lot. He came out while I had it off, and asked what the heck I was doing. I told him I was trying to demonstrate a point for my CF buddies, don't worry I'll put it back! Geez, some people are so picky!
