If I'm 38 and feel like I'm 60+ does that count?

I'm 71. Bought my first Vette, a 1957, when I was 24. Have owned 6 of them. Tend to keep them for a long time and am end up selling them at a profit. I am actually ahead $10K on the Vettes that I have owned. This makes them the ultimate economy car. The 1957 was a great looking car but got only 12 mpg and required clean plugs every 3-4K miles, due to lead deposits. Good news was that plugs were a lot easier to change back then. Anyone older or bought their first Vette earlier than 1958?

Now see lads. With age comes words of wisdom. That is great trivia, to know this of the earlier Corvettes. Look how far the Corvette has come from the 50s with that one simple statement about the '57.
Thank you "My6th"

I'm 63 and bought my first Corvette this past November. I still can't figure out why I waited for so long to buy this wonderfull car. It's a '98 Torch Red Convertible/ Light Oak Interior with 26,500 miles upon delivery. It's definitely a conversation starter. Everytime I take it out, there are people telling me about their Corvette stories. One of these days, I'll drag out the camera and try to post some Pix.

I’ll be 63 in 3 days. Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional.
