No more Michelin Pilot Sports????
I know I posted this earlier but I kinda buried it a long story and didn't get much response from the question ... Really curious to see if anyone else has found this to be true...since I LOVE THESE TIRES.
Had to get a replacement yesterday (luckily found just 1) but the tire dealer (DISCOUNT TIRE) said that they (MICHELIN) doesn't produce them anymore??? Anyone know anything about this ... He was told the PS2 are the replacements now.

They still show up on the Tire Rack website but if the tire is being discontinued, the stocks can go fast. Check with Luke at the Tire Rack to see what he says.

Melting Slicks
I thought it was being replaced by their PS2 tire. I've noticed that certain sizes are no longer listed in the original Pilot Sport series so maybe Michelin is slowly phasing out their production.

I was on Tire Rack and the Michelin web site and couldn't find the PS2 ZP's. So I called Michelin of NA. They gave me the correct stock numbers for my 98. Then I called a local tire shop and the guy quoted me the tire sizes off the top of his head for the C5 and told me he would have the tires in the shop within a week. Seems all of the garage queens are getting new shows (pumps) for theirs. I just fell in with the group. And those are the Zero Pressures, Tire Rack lists the non 'emt's' as a result for a C5 tire search

Burning Brakes
I've got a set of ZPs in stock sizes sitting on the floor right in front of me as I type this. They came from the Tire Rack just last week. No one made any mention of them being discontinued.

I should have mentioned though that these were for the stock Z06 sizes (295/35) ... I do see where the stock C5 sizes are still available (275/25)

No problem in Southern California. Discount Tires said it would be a four day lead time as it was a special. Globe Tires picked up the tires in the morning for me and they were on by noon.
