Who is going to upgrade this year?

I did the C6 test drive a year ago. Very nice performance, but the exterior looks don't do it for me. I wouldn't consider a trade but if I had the resources, I would buy a C6.

Not me. I've really just finished my car. 470 RWHP N/A. I've added the Z06 suspension pieces and just installed a 3.90 rear this week.
It's time to leave it alone for a while and cruise.
Besides, it's free at this point.

My C5 is still my sweetie. I just gave her a wash, dry, claybar, zaino z1 & z2, and wax-off today. Still thinking of what else I can do to her.

I haven't found the right color in a C6.
Magnetic Red Metallic drove me to the C5. It hit the right nerve. Haven't gotten that feeling yet from any of the C6 colors. We'll see what Chevy comes up with in the next few years.

Not this year - I'm enjoying pure ownership with the C5. The only thing I like about the C6 is the extra 50hp and I can fix that on the C5 for alot less than buying a new C6.

I admire the performance of the C6 and especially the Z06 - but I do not like the way the car looks. It is my personal opinion. I've driven a C6 and I thought it felt tight and very responsive. I liked the view out the windshield and felt comfortable behind the wheel. I just don't like the appearance of the car.
To me it would be like getting married to a real unattractive woman. She might be great in bed, a good cook and have a great personality - but if you can't stand to look at her......what do you do, walk around with a blindfold? The might work in a marriage, but that CERTAINLY won't work driving a car!!!!

I have an eye for a 60's era Camaro as a "sister" to my C5, for me it would be way "cooler" & give me a true driving option, not just a not-too-upgraded version of a body style they should have left alone !

I plan on keeping my C5 for many, many years. It's looks and place in Corvette history (for changes in performance and direction of marquee) will mean more to me than the impact the C6 has had.

The c6 is simply NOT a better looking car than the C5.
It may perform a tad better out of the box but ive cleared that hurdle long ago.
My car is very low miles, looks like its showroom floor new, and its paid for.
As looks go The sleek stealthy look of the C5 trancends the C6 by leaps and bounds.
There will be no c6 for me.
Hopefully the C7 will take on new meaning.

Not planning on it. As nice as the C6 may be, I can't see getting rid of a perfectly good C5 and paying a huge difference in price for one. Maybe in a few years there will be a new one in the garage.

Like my C5....not to say that someday I might not buy a C6. But just read my latest Auto Week and their test on a stock 2006 C6 indicated it is only a tick quicker than our stock C5's. Heck, they barely broke the 5 sec. 0-60mph barrier after several attempts and only ran an 11.37 quarter. They did indicate that the Z51 option would probably perform better. I would hope so since the big car mags. touted a 4.3 sec 0-60 time in the '05 C6 last year with a mid 12 sec. quarter. Wonder what's up with their testing?
