Who has the *most* miles on their Z?
It's interesting - going through various topics about cars being for sale or otherwise, it always seems that high mileage is taboo for Vettes in general. I have 34K on my Z06 now, and plan to drive the sucker into the ground, loving every day of it! Has anyone clocked over 100K miles in a Z? Or, considering that the first model year was 2001, how about >= 75K miles? Finally, what's the "life expectancy," out of curiosity? Is there any reason we shouldn't be able to drive the car to 150K, 200K miles?

There's a guy on Z06vette with a 100k 02...runs like a champ, i think he paid 20k for it...he's swapping in some ungodly motor set up though
I pick up my Z06 in 2 weeks, it's an 01 with 67k....I'd expect 150k out of an LS6 as long as it's properly maintained...great motors

Although my '01 only has 8,500 mi, a friend of mine sold his black '02 late last year when it had 117k of "drive it like you stole it" miles on it. FWIW, it was mechanically sound and still drove great.

I'd think about changing out the valve springs somewhere down the road on these high mileage C5Zs if you want to get mroe miles out of them ... cheap insurance.

It's great to hear that so many of you are driving these every day like me.
On a side-note - I've never had any problems with the dreaded column lock like many seem to have. Is that a problem that might theoretically pop up over time, or if it were to happen it already would have at this point? I've got about 34K on the odo.
