Default $3400

I took my car into the dealership on Friday cause my display was giving me messages like "service active handling" and "service traction control"... I assumed my GMPP would cover it...

The rep called my today and said that he had some bad news... found out that he'd called in my car to GMPP needing both an Electronic Brake Control Module and Brake Pressure Modulator Valve and been denied... I cringed and asked him what it would cost me all the while wondering why my GMPP major guard wouldn't cover it...
Parts: $2800, Labor: $600 My heart sank... how could this be happening???

So I called up the service manager (the one at Clippinger Chevrolet is awesome--yeah he gets a plug cause he's always taken care of me) and he said he'd do some checking for me... so I waited on pins and needles... He called me back and it turned out that one of his reps had transposed the code when he typed in the problem and that GMPP will cover the module and valve... Whew, that was close!

Why would both of these need to be replaced at the same time? Either the brain is fried or the muscle is fried, but probably not both.

Did you happen to put power steering fluid instead of brake fluid? That will cause a disater

Ya don't know HOW BAD I'd like to do a heads and cam job... I'm just scared now to do one after things like this go wrong... And I really wouldn't want GMPP to have a reason to deny me!

I will be saying a little prayer tonight... to the Corvette Gods

GMPP will always find a reason to deny a claim. IMO this is alot of GM's problem and why there having trouble. I have had such issues with GM warranty I just bought a car that didn't even have one. With this forum and service book nothing is that hard or expensive to fix. $600.00 to replace a couple of modules even if they had to bleed the brakes is BS and they know that.
