Default Tire Splash

Couldn't resist a quick run with the Z this morning. Since I've only had the car several days I'm still anxious to drive. The roads were clean & dry, except for a 10' long patch of water. When I ran through it the rear tires splashed water & dirt all over the rear quarter panels. What about splash guards?? They make an exact fit for C5's?? I've looked at about 100 Z's on the forum - NO ONE has them on. This tells me they are not cool???

I guess it's a matter of personal taste, but I can't stand them, they completely destroy the flow of the car.

Perry, I just put them on my car, They aren't perfect but help a whole bunch.
I guess it depends on if your going to drive it or not. Seems there is always a patch of dirty water some where. and I think it will hold down on the damage to the rockers and lower body from small stones and sand. Stop by some time when my car's out front if you want a look.

Yes, mid-america and others have colored matched guards. There are small and discrete as to not to take away the ggod looks. I am installing mine when weather permits. The color match is perfect which really impressed me. I am going to put about 10 coats of clear for extra shine. Once ther on I'm done.

I did the 3M treatment on all the critical areas. I like it. peace of mind. Barely visible on the silver.

I've seen the body color painted ones on Ebay for $120 a set.. I have never seen them on any C5.. Does anyone have any pictures ... Would be worthwhile to see a full car view with them on..

VERY uncool, along with BSM's! Don't drive though the water, or get a van!

I bought a set. Fit is terrible plus drilling required.
There may be better ones out there but I haven't found them yet.

Edit - Anyone want to buy a set cheap?

I had them on the C4 and when I took them off one day to do some detailing, the paint was scratched. Never again will I put mud guards on...like stated previously, that's what soap and water is for.

I bought color match ones. I never put them on. They did not line up well and it looked bad IMO

If anyone wants yellow ones, still in the boxes, PM me and I will sell them to you at 50% what the cost.
