StuzVette and Stu too nearly a goner...
on the way back from Tampa 11-19-05...
...StuzVette hydroplaned...
suddenly at 70-75 I was rotating 180 degrees and traveling down 417 at 70 mph backwards...
gradually driffted toward the grass median as I completed the 360...
...as I completed the next 2 360's I could see that I was drifting toward the dip in the median and would rapidly begin to rise up the embankment toward all of the oncoming traffic...
...I kept maneuvering as best I could to prevent StuzVette from catapulting into the 2 lanes of streaming traffic...
...and StuzVette drifted ultimately to the edge of the inside lane of on coming traffic...when it completed yet another 360...
I steered from the inside of the apron facing on coming traffic as I drove just into the median again...the rear swung into the grassy median...
StuzVette stopped moving finally with the front fascia on lip of the asphalt apron on the opposite side of the median...and facing directly across the opposing 2 lanes...
no damage that I can tell yet...
...Stu is okay too...
Stangkiller (Chris) was traveling home from the show and was just north of me but came back to make sure I made it home...
...thanks Chris...

I did not know you had your Vette at the show. I've been wanting to see your Vette for a long time.

Damn Stu, glad there wasn't any major damage to you or StuzVette. Noticed you didn't show any pics of the drivers side seat bottom.

Wow, it wasn't your time, someone was definitely watching out for you and stuzvette. Glad it all worked out. Do you know think the tires might have had something to do with the hydroplaning? Which ones are you using?
