Default Bumber Repair ?

Garage door kicked my Vette in the butt. Small (about 1 inch diameter) indent with a couple spider cracks (maybe just in paint) above license plate. Has anyone done successful repairs on these?

Take it to a shop and have the whole thing removed and repainted. About $500, nothing else will get rid of the spider cracks in your paint, I am sure that the rear is fine, it just flexed on impact and now the paint is cracked...

we fix those all day long
500$ is about avg, but make sure that who fix's it is going to remove the bumper.

Local Dealer said they apply a little heat and the indentation will come out. Then its just some sanding, and paint to the general area (just above license plate) followed by clear coat to the entire bumper. Questioned him about taking bumper off and reply was they didn't need to do cause damage area was so in the center but if I wanted to bring the cost up to 500. instead of 300. they would remove it but again, his 14 yrs of experience felt totally not necessary. So....any comments???
