C6 Z06 wrecked in the Netherlands
A reporter from GTO magazine had the car to make some photo shots. After picking up gas, he left the gas station a bit too fast. The reporter had no injury, but the car is a wreck.

In Before the Lock! Too bad, I am always saddened to see a nice new car wrecked for no good reason, especially just a driver with insufficient skill. I remember seeing a guy who owns an insurance company that covers a lot of kit, specialty, and collector cars. He said that the reproduction Cobra cars have among the lowest claim rate for accidents/collisions when their owner/builders were driving, and the highest total loss rate for when a friend of the owner was at the wheel..... Now they offer 2 programs, one a lower price coverage that stipulates OWNER driver only. The loss of the new Vette sorta fits into this scenario....Limited experience in a high power car leads to trouble. I never let anyone drive my C5 except my husband, and our Corvette specialist mechanic who has plenty of time in cars much faster than mine. There, we finally got some C5 content in here.

From what I've seen lately Corvettes don't do well against tractor trailers.
This is a real shame, wonder how the driver and or passenger made out. The cockpit seemed intact and the roll bar did its job but there's still a tremendous amount of damage.

Probably just more car than the guy could handle.
