The C5 is a much sexier car. The C6 has been made with that new trendy boxier edge to it that you see in a lot of new cars like the caddy etc. It will be a passing fad. The C5 style is timeless.

In 5 or 6 years the folded edges of the C-6 will look dated, but curves are forever!

The money I saved keeping the C-5 and not getting a C-6 bought my wife a race car!

I use to hate the back end of the C6 but the more i see the C6 the more and more i like it. I think the C6 will be my next car after my z is paid off.

Thanks gusy....I think Ive come to two conclusions.....1. The C5 is a much sleeker looking car while the C6 is a little more aggressive looking, and 2. Every car looks better in Blue

I agree with your assessment of blue. Nassau Blue is sweet, but so is Electron, Navy, and LeMans...

my .02 ...

The cool thing with the Z06 is that the hardtop does set it apart from the coupe and will always be unique.

The Z to me just looks like a racer and it does feel like a cockpit in there. I also like the lower and wider dimensions of the C5... I like to take up as much lane as possible and be at eye level with everyones door handles . And the subtle curves... very sexy and classic. The driving experience may not be 'refined' as I have been reading about the C6, but the Z falls on the opposite spectrum of feeling primal which I find desirable in a car that ran with the best of them. I think it will age well.

Also I believe that the C6 cannot outperform the Z06.

So with my preference in style with the Z06 form and, at best, even performance, I couldn't see buying a C6 at this time.

I do also like the C6 styling though.... looks sharp at some angles like front 3/4 view. looks really hot in black and silver.

The C6 Z06 is an animal but just not in my budget right now. I do wish they would have made the top like the C5 Z06s to really set it off again. I saw a black C6 vert with the black top up recently... hot. they should have made the Z06 top like that.

good luck with your choice.

I think they both look awesome. My C5 is my first Vette, and I absolutely love it. I plan on getting a C6 too, but will keep the C5.

Saying the C5 looks better than the C6 or vice versa is like saying a good looking red-head looks better than a good looking brunette. It’s all good!
