Do You Bother To Maintain Equal Pressure in all Four Tires?
I bought new tires last week and the readings were a bit off after leaving the tire store. They were still off after a couple days of driving.
I like to make sure they each have 30 or so pounds of pressure in them. If any one is off by even 1, let alone 2 lbs. or more, I'm at the station adding air or letting air out until they are all equal at 30 lbs or so cold/32 lbs. or so warm. It bugs me to have different readings.
I know it's such a small detail and it probably does no harm to be off a pound or two. But...well...I guess I like to make sure they are the same all the way around.
Can anybody relate to that?

Close works for me.
I figure we're not Michael Schumacher in a qualifying session, So +/- 10% seem to have been OK with me for years. I was just thinking the other day about how accurate anything other than an expensive guage is anyway. Additionally, I also notice my C5 tires seem to not leak at all, even over a long period, 30 psi stays 30 for a Looong time. Hope you love the car!

I try to keep the difference between the 4 tires within 2 pounds. anything outside of that gets adjusted. Howver, I find the difference between cold and warm tires is 4 pounds not 2

i like it when all 4 #'s match on my monitor!i think it looks good.that happens once in a blue moon.i'm either adding or letting out quite often,to the point of wondering about the sensors themselves!!i drive myself nuts sometimes! today,i added air to get to 33psi,got in and it said 36 on the one i added and 31 on the one i didn't, that was on 33 a minute ago!!!whacky!!!

You're not alone Joe. I run Bridgestone Potenza Pole Positions with 35psi front & 32psi rear per Luke @ Tire Rack. I like to keep the psi equal. I'm just detail oriented that way, I like to see the exact same numbers for the fronts and the backs in the DIC. I'm sure a couple psi here or there is no big deal at all just I just like to see the correct numbers.

I have found that the C5 is highly sensitive to pressure variations above the recommended 30 psi. Even on Pilot Sport non-runflats the ride is very harsh at 35 psi. Drop it back to 30 and it is an amazing difference in ride and noise.

Yup, I try to keep my Goodyear D3s at the same pressure. Thirty-five years ago I bought a nice tire pressure gauge at Jim's Racing in East Peoria, IL and the darn thing still works fine. I set the pressures using the gauge and darn if the DIC doesn't show all of them have exactlly the same presuure.

I try to keep them around 30 cold sometimes I think one or two are at 29 when cold. Having different pressures all the way around sometimes bothers me as well....
