Help me out here guys... What does this plug go to?
I changed a bulb in one of my fog lights tonight and noticed that this plug was just laying below my air intake. Everything seems to be working properly all lights etc... any ideas??? I pulled the wire up so I could take a picture of it but it was just laying down under the fog light. I can't tell where it goes...
Here are some pictures:

I believe that is the air temp sensor for C5's that have the dual climate contol in them. If you just have the standard 3 dial switcher for your air/heater it just sits there and is plugged into nothing.

It's the voice module for the car's computer ... I heard it sounds like a woman ... even nags you when you drive
EDIT:::
I tried looking through my manual, but I don't know if I have it in the '03

I only got one cable which is connected to the air temperature sensor.
By the way, what bulb is used in the fog light? One of mine broke yesterday and I can't find any information in the manual or on any forum.

There is not much else down in that area.

You won't find an explanation for it either. I went to the dealer and got a diagram that plainly show it and but no one there knew what it was for either. It appears to me to be jsut a part of a generic wiring harness that they used for the vette and it just flat came with it, with no use intended.

The reason you'll see extra connectors like that is they use the same harness for differently optioned C5's for efficiency and cost-savings. For instance, if your's doesn't have foglights, you can find the connectors inside the fascia (except on certain Z06's). The connector you pictured here is most likely for the ambient temperature sensor used in the dual-zone auto A/C option. Here's where it's normally located.

Ok, thanks guys. To answer the hood light question, no it is not for the hood light, it is fine. I guess it was just patches said, a generic plug. Thanks again, I can rest easy now!
