I have a hard time believeing a BONE stock z06 can hit 123 mph in the 1/4. Then again my definition of BONE stock is EXACTLY the way it left the dealership. WITH the stock REAL street tires .. no bs drag radials or slicks.
i aint trying to start anything here .. just adding my .02.. I find it odd that out of the Bone stock list some cars were hitting 115 mph and some 120. So i guess some cars left the dealership with 65 more hp than others? i dont think so.
when it comes to BONE stock i will gladly take any C&D or motor trends #s. Sure they dont have the best launch techniques but the mph always shows the true hp #s.

Please refer to the December issue of GM High Tech, page 86 bottom of third paragraph. Ouote 11.97 @ 118.80. If you read the entire article the ZO6 was BONE STOCK and had O.E tires.

i still dont get how gm high tech traped 118.8 stock and i trap the same with a large cam, long tube headers, clutch, full exhuast and a tune putting done 417 rwhp.
Maybe it because i still have the stock 3.42 gears in the car with the big cam, if not iam putting the stock cam back in

With 417 RwHp you should be seeing 120+ mph without a doubt, you may have run in bad weather or you may need some seat time, most stock Z's run 114-117 mph depending on weather, get some good air with a low DA and a good driver and 118 mph stock is very likely.

i bought a shift light for it because it seems the rpm gauge wont keep up , rev limit is set at 7000 but it will hit 6600 on the gauge and hit the limit. Maybe iam shifting to low because i cant see what its shifting at.
i was told it could drop your mph if you even shift 200-300 under what your limit is set at with a cam.
Before we pulled some timming it traped 119.5 my first run with the car but now i push the car and it wont do it, i need my seat time i geuss.

I'll chime in....
Zip tie mod only
60' - 1.767
330 - 4.880
1/8 - 7.470
MPH - 95.88
1000 - 9.710
1/4 - 11.606
MPH - 117.95
stock (lid back on)
60 - 1.818
330 - 4.999
1/8 - 7.610
MPH - 95.29
1000 - 9.868
1/4 - 11.783
MPH - 116.90
DA was -880 out around the track according to the weather station.
Here are some videos:
Many months back HRP had a rare daylight test and tune day. It was a test and tune in daylight with the clocks on. 99% of the time I run at HRP is Friday "safe street" night which is basically "street race" night, and the scoreboards are off.
Tommy was down with his car, and we made some passes in his car too. But, in the meantime I decided to make a couple of passes in my car. It had been almost 3 months since I had even cranked the car, and it had been since the fest in BG since I had actually made a pass in the car. My timing was a bit off after having driven Tommy's car so much, but I managed to muddle my way through.
Anyhow, you'll hear the car spin in 1st on almost ever pass. Track prep wasn't all that hot, and I was a bit rusty on my stock tire driving. But all in all I did ok.
Anyhow, here they are. For any of the skeptics out there, check the trap speeds (114mph).

http://users3.ev1.net/~black_ops/video/11.92.mpg
http://users3.ev1.net/~black_ops/video/11.95.mpg

IMHO the best video in terms of watching it to see what I'm doing is the 11.92 video. Its shot from behind the car, and you can hear me bring the revs up, and slip the clutch. You can also see a bit of clutch dust on the leave. I barely squeak the tires on the 1-2 shift, and the cars rolling into the water box don't drown out the sound until the very end.
The 11.85 is faster, but the car spins on both gear changes (lane conditions).
The 11.95 is ok, but the sound of cars doing their burnout drowns out almost all the audio after the launch.
The 12.01 I just blew the release (too fast) on the clutch, and bogged the car just a bit on the launch. Otherwise the run is ok...
Anyhow, I guess there has always been some question about how repeatable a sub 12 second run is. These were basically "hot laps" I ran all of these runs basically back to back with almost no cooldown.

I think I have a little more to get out of her, but my best to date is:
60' - 1.964
330' - 5.311
1/8 - 8.026
MPH - 91.65
1000 - 10.331
1/4 - 12.280

The Car is an 01 Z with a blackwing and loudmouths only, stock tune. Run was on stock F1's. I hope to see 11's with tires.... we'll see...

Okay Ranger, you duplicated Norm Jackson. Actually your trap speed was better. Must took a while to find the old time slip. Yeah, at Cecil County you usually get a better trap speed, my experience when I raced sportbikes. Good Job!

More additions, and time-slip/video links added. Do you guys think that the C6 Z06 times should be added to this list, as they are starting to come in?
