Default HAS ANYONE HAD BOTH A COUPE & A VERT?

I Am Trying To Decide Between A 01 Vert And A 03 Coupe Both Have Close To Same Options , One Owner & Low Milage. Has Anyone Had Both ? I Would Like To Hear Your Opinions On Which One You Liked The Best. I Live In New England & Would Be Driving Until The Snow Flys. Thanks Steve.

I like the coupe because I can have the best of both. When you want that wind in your hair just take the top off!

I just traded a convertible off, I was going to buy a coupe, but as soon as I got in it ,I felt so cramped up, I went out and bought another convertible.

Amen. Nothing beats a vert, even if the top never goes down.

I have had a 98 Vert and now I have a 97 Coupe. Both are a lot of fun. If you dont want to mod it, the coupe will have a little more kick in the butt with the 3.42s.

I have a hardtop for our convertible for when we run at the track. And the ONLY time I use it is at the track because there is nothing better than top-down driving. I have been in coupes and for the sheer pleasure of driving, the vert wins hands-down. IMHO the main advantage of the coupe is storage.

I've had all three FRC, Coupe and Vert. I've also lived in New England. Buy the Vert. Todays corvette convertible is nothing like convertibles of old. With the liner it has built into it you won't even think you're in a convertible when the top is up. They're as warm or cool as a coupe and only slightly noiser.

Driving a convertible is much like a motorcycle (without the necessary helmet) You can see and smell all the sights! Top is up or down in about 15 seconds. No storage hassles on a trip as you still have plenty of trunk! Oh, and I have 3:42's (6 speed)

I have had both coupe and vert and i still have the vert there is nothing like the open air feeling when you are driveing it and the only other one i would even consider is the 06 z06 but i will have to wait for that one so, i will have two again in 07 my vert and a z06 i hope.

You cant ever go wrong with a vert my wife and I just love Ours.

I have had both and I currently own an 01 Triple Black MN6, Z51 Vert.
There is nothing like owning a vert! Good luck on your decision.

I had the coupe first. It was fun and a great car but it doesn't compare to the fun and improved ride of the vert. The vert is also in a different league when it comes to sex appeal.

Have both, an 03 coupe and a 04 vert. Both are great cars.

One draw back to the vert is that if you ever decide to do a High Perfromance Driving school, all most all road race tracks where the schools are held do not allow convertables with out a roll bar. roll hoops dont count as a roll bar.
