Anywhere where we can sign it in person. I bet if this petition was displayed at car shows, swap meets, races, performance shops, etc. state wide it would have more than enough sigs.

For some reason I can't sign or review the petition.

Have any of these petitions ever worked to get rid of front plates in any state?

Who is the person who wrote that petition? He certainly isn't a lawyer. A gardner maybe?

The title, Eradication of California's Front License Plate, is the 1st reason it'll be ignored.

Main Entry: erad·i·cate
Function: transitive verb
Inflected Form(s): -cat·ed; -cat·ing

1 : to pull up by the roots
2 : to do away with as completely as if by pulling up by the roots <programs to eradicate illiteracy>.
Synonym see EXTERMINATE

Within the entire petition there is probably only one thought that might be worth considering by lawmakers, that is "there is no evidence of a decline in public safety as a result of the plate removal" and one thought that might appeal to the GOVENATOR, Arnold; it might reduce govt. spending. But then whatever costs are associated with license plate production will be passed on to residence of CA so actually there is no impact on revenues or expenses.

Good luck, but I think the originator will have better luck if some thorough research is done on why other states have eradicated their front plates, and have an attorney word the petition.

Although I am no longer a CA resident, 38 years was plenty, I wish you luck in your endeavor, we in Florida do not need a front plate, . I would suggest, if you have not already, to search out an Assemblyman or State Senator to sponsor your bill. You could probably search the State congressional record to locate a pro-car enthusiast member to help you in your cause,

No front plate is a $30 parking ticket. At least it was a year ago. It's a way to generate revenue, I signed, but they're not going to get rid of the front plate.
