Default Wood Dash Interiors

I would like to purchase a real wood dash kit for my black/red interior vert. Can anyone recommend a particular company or provide some photos of your upgrade??

Im stretching here and I know it but Im looking for something to rival the Lexus or XLR interior.

Thanks Mike

Hi Mike – Have seen a lot of wood dash kits in C4’s but don’t recall seeing one in a C5. Certainly to each his own but it cheapens the car to me. Where are you at in FLL?

Look up Joshua Tree Wood Dash on google. I got their c5 kit and selected the same wood they use in the lexus and a beautiful match for my 03 AE red vert. It looks great contrary to some opinions - but of course that is a personal decision.

I don't think there are any nice wood kits out there and you will ruin your interior by installing the cheap ones

Don't do it

Ecklers have a kit:

Have to say I agree with the other comments. I'm not sure it looks good in a Vette. Some other cars can take it but this is a sports car.

Seems a bit odd comment as british sports cars have had wooden dashes since the 1950's There are some extremely nice kits out there that rival lexus, jags, rolls etc. not especially cheap but high quality.

JMHO but I'd buy a Jag if I wanted the wood look. I know the old MGs had wood steering wheels and some wooden trim panels but that was before the age of synthetic materials which were easy to work. I had an MG Midget as a lad and that was plastic and metal; basic in the extreme. Somehow wood and a sports car don't seem to fit nowadays. That said, it's good that we're not all the same with similar tastes otherwise we wouldn't mod our Vettes. Everyone to their own

I have the RPO burlwood kit in my C5. It wasn't cheap at all at $700 & its much higher quality than the stuff you have to bend in place with a hair dryer.
