Default painted under hood (pics)

Got board today and i gave it a try..... painted the imboss logo on the hood insulation. I though it turned out ok. here's some pictures. So what do you think?

Looks very nice How long did it take you? What type of paint? Brushed I would assume.

Well, it took me all together.... 4 hrs. 2 cans of spray flat black enamel backing the felt, silver enamel testers brand and a pointed small artist brush i got at an art store. the red is acrylic enamel that my wife had. i didn't use white, the silver looked good as is. copyed the logo out of mid america catalog from a engine id spec plate. i had to thin the silver paint to apply a clean edge and work the paint on a piece of cardboard to the right thickness on the brush. works better with thin paint. apply two coats for sharper color. Don't forget to take the hood liner off . pull the plastic rivets straight out , i used a claw hammer to get them started . i hope this helps you out. good luck! (tom)
