C5 You may know, or you may not
1. If you turn on the headlights, then go to parking light position, the lamp head will remain up but headlights will be off.
2. If you have a passive entry feature- If you lock your keys in the car wait a few minutes and then shake the car! Car will unlock
3. The cruise control will disengage if you purposely make a sharp side to side turn above 60mph.
4 If you have a 6spd car, you can pop the trunk when the car is running by lifting the e-brake
5. When you change oil, and want to reset "oil life" simply turn on the ignition (do not start) and pump the accelerator three times!
6. You can pop the trunck and gas cap cover by pulling on metal lines hidden in the back
7. All of the option codes are in the glove box
8 The build sheet is in the front re-bar
AND FINALLY- SLAM THE PEDAL TO THE METAL- IT WILL MAKE YOU SMILE!!

Exactly what is the "front re-bar" and how do you access it to remove your build sheet?
I think you can reset oil life by selecting it then holding the reset button for a few seconds. Why step on the gas pedal? I would think that would do more harm than good.
What is the "passive entry feature?" What is an "active entry feature?"
I've seen all your tips in the sticky mentioned above but never had anyone explain re-bar and passive vs. active, etc. Can you answer those questions hotrod3? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Not sure about the re-bar item, but my '98 FOB has the passive entry feature...it's a slider for on/off. I believe it was done away with on the later C5's, not sure what the year cutoff is.
BTW...installed the C6 shifter this weekend...will give feedback after some miles...

My bet is you're going to love your new shifter. I put in a Hurst and am so glad I made the change from stock.
