Default LG LTs, no cats and straight pipes too much lol...

OK I think its a little too loud for a daily driver. Especially when a Z3 driver was cursing me and telling to to get a *&^^&*^*^ exaust a$$h(*&. I'm still trying to figure out where the missfiring is coming from. My buddy at the dealer thinks it might be a bad wire. I put the Accel Fierro wires on. I'm gonna try and send them back. His Mechanic said 1, 3 and 6 were missfireing. I ordered some stock wires and am gonna go rom there.

Anyway, main question.. those with LG LTs and no CATs, what kind of mufflers are you running. I need to quiet this beast down before I get arrested.. Thanks for the input.

everything is installed correctly. My mechanic buddy at the dealer thinks its a bad spark plug wire. We are gona replace those on monday then put it back on the computer at the shop to see.

I'm running the same thing as a borla X-R1 (magnaflow brand) I was thinking about going to Borla stingers. Your saying they arn't too bad. The X-R1s sound like I'm an airplane.

I have the Borla Quad Round Tip. Didnt want it too loud. Im moving to Germany, and the Germans get a little touchy about being too loud, especially when you start the car at 0530 in the morning for PT.

I have Dynotechs and straigh pipes with no mufflers.
In the beginning I thought it was loud as hell, but 1 month later i want more sound, but unless i get a cam or a stroker is as loud as it gets.

I'm with the others, LG LT, no cats and Borla Stingers... nice and loud when I want it to be but not too bad at all when I'm cruising. My neighborhood seems to be infested with us noisy types, 2 houses down from me is a Z28 with straight pipes and a cam, and then there's the 03 Cobra down from him with a pully, cam and no cats So much for friendly neighbors!

Tom,
Running LG Pro LTs, no cats, Stingers with single tips and love it! Not too bad when you are not in it. Romp on it and it is music, sound tuned and very cool. My favorite is to go under an over pass, and run it to 6400 and hear it scream!!! Good luck and I think you will be very happy with LG Pros, no cats and stingers.
Dave
PS who was off to Germany? What part? You need to get with CPT Z06 and make some runs @ Nurburg and Hockenhiem (spelling????). Been there but before I have my Z...

I'm not off to Germany, I was stationed there for 3 years. Sadly I didn't have the batmobile then haha. I'm off to Campbell in a few months.

I have Long tube headers, x pipe and B&B Bullets, I left the stock cats on. Its pretty loud out back , When people tailgate I just step on the clutch and rev her up, usually causes the tailgater to drop the cell phone and back off

Honestly I get fewer tailgaters and I hate that in the Vette it feels like they are on your back

Mabye putting the stock cats on would put it back into a sound range you are comfortable with, if you still have them it may be the least expensive option and may work out

Also, and I am no mechanic, could the removal of the cats cause any type of misfire???? are they after they O2 sensors???

May be of no help, just a backseat mechanic

the spot for the Cats is after the O2 sensors. I was thinking that I should put new O2 on when I put the headers on.
