Changing front turn signal bulb - how?
Hi, I'm a new C5 owner. Got it last week, absolutely love it! Just after getting home the front turn signal bulb burned out, and the oil pressure sensor is not working. I'll save the sensor for latter, when I do some mods. Found some good info here on the sensor.
Was looking at the front end and can't see an easy way to get to the front turn signal bulb. Anyone with some advice on how to get to the front turn signal bulb?
I got a 2000 C5, the hatchback in light pewter metallic, black interior.

You'll get a few alternatives but the one that works for me is:
Turn on the headlights and back off one position to kill the lights.
Unscrew the 3 small screws on the black plastic housing around the headlight. Gently pull the housing clear. Reach down around the headlight unit and release the bulb holder. It unscrews counter clockwise but it has a plastic clip which you need to squeeze to release it. Change the bulb. Reseat the bulb holder and turn until it clicks back in place. Put the plastic housing back in place making sure to locate the small plastic tab in the bracket on the headlamp cover. Replace the 3 screws and close the lights.
10 minute job.
Congrats on the new ride and welcome to the best Club in town!

Thanks for the reply, I tried that and I couldn't get my arm in that way. And wasn't sure about how to adjust the headlight to allow enough room for my arm. Any suggestions on how to adjust the headlight to allow more room? Or is there an easy way from the back side of it?

This only works if you have really small hands, but I pushed back the brake duct and reached my hand upward and VOILA. Push down a tab turn and you are done.
Good luck

Hey Matt! If, like me, you couldn't access the bulb by using the procedures listed above, the best way is to go through the panel directly below the light. You do have to drive it up on blocks or ramps, or park on the crest of a small hill ( in my case, my driveway works ) so that the frontend overhangs. Six or so screws need to be removed and the panel comes off. Move the brake duct moved aside. Then, just turn the socket a 1 half turn and remove, The bulb just plugs in. It sounds more complicated than it is!!! And...no scratched up arms and hands!!
