Default Vette got nailed ahhh!

Took my girlfriend to prom in the freshly detailed vette, what a wonderful night until..... At 2 am I had to bring my girlfriend home, and on the way there was a bucket in the middle of the road so i went way around it. About 10 seconds later all four tires were flat, and we pulled over into a parking lot to notice that about 4 other cars were stuck there! Come to find out some kids threw a bucket of about 1,000 roofing nails in the road, and the cops said the county will not be responsible. Today i called tire kingdom to order new tires, and they are booked until thursday due to the nails in the road!!! Im either looking for a 305, or 315 tire with about the same sidewall height as stock. Any suggestions on a good overall tire?

Haven't checked withthe insurance yet, but i do have roadhazzard. They said it would pay for some of the new tires depending on the tread depth.

Does going from a 275 to a 315 really make a big difference off the line? I'm looking for something where the car will practically leap off the line!

yea, that really sux...good luck in the search for tires..

when i had my truck at my apt, some a-holes decided to go on a spree and flaten tires, as a whole street had cars with flat tires. i have tires that cost $360 a pop (22" wheels)! two of mine had a nail in it. not to mention, the night before, my dad had rear-ended a guy on the freeway so the front end was dented up pretty well...those two days, i swear to god i was going to shot someone...

Always some conehead that get's their kicks by destroying somebodys else's property. If they caught them they should give them a bed of nails to sleep on.

the county can say they're not resposible all they want .. truth of the matter is they are .. it's their job to make sure the roads are clean and free of debris.

might be worth a lawyer .. 4 new tires is like $850-$1400

.. stupid f-in kids.

fwiw: i think you can only fit a 295 on stockers.

If you go with a 315 then or a 305 then there no way you will be able to run the same sidewall. Need to go smaller like a 30 or 35 but I dont think anyone makes a 315 35. Same goes for the front the wider you go the smaller the sidewall needs to be.

That sucks. They should try and find the owner of the bucket of nails and charge his/or her @zz for all those tires!

Can you tell I recently had a run in with road debris?

Good luck with your search.
