Default Alright yall help me decide on which C5 to get...

Alright well im new to the forum, i currently own a 1998 Firebird and im looking to buy me a new toy sometime soon. Ive always loved Corvettes and its been my dream to own one sometime soon, and ive found several C5's here for sale that i like, only problem is i like both of them so much i cant decide on which one to get.

Heres the first one...this is a 98 with just 17K miles...

And heres the second one...99 with 38K miles on it...

I was looking at the red on first and it stuck out b/c it was red and everytthing and it only had 17K miles on it, but then i found the silver one and i love silver on cars (my Firebird is silver) and i love the Z06 wheels, and now im stuck between the 2 and ive got to make a decision soon. What are yalls thoughts on the 2? Basically what im asking i guess is which color do yall think looks better on the vette and with the wheels that come with them too. I think im actually leaning towards the silver 1999 one now but im not sure. Both are around the same price so thats not an issue.

But no matter which one i get i cant wait until i can finally say i own a Corvette. Ill probaly put 1000 miles on it the first day.

Red one of course But if you like the Silver, I doubt you can go wrong Does the 99 have options the 98 doesn't have...could be the real factor!

I've had a red vert and found it very easy to sell if you ever wanted to up grade. They refer to them here as re-sale red. I like both. You have to pick the one to want to look at every moring you get up. As for the difference in years, who will ever know. Really, you should wait for white.

I love my 99 silver vette...however the 98 has half the milage. I vote for the 98 as there's practically no difference in the car between 99 and 98 except for the return fuel line which is never a bad thing to have. Therefore i vote for the lower milage vette.

If you like the red one, get it and have them swap the Zo6 wheels from the silver one. Best of both worlds.

I like the silver because of the Z06 wheels. The Wagon wheels on the 98 scare me

Ironic, I was looking for a silver one when I ran across the first Vette I looked at. I bought a 98 Torch red with 17,000 miles on it. I put aftermarket chrome Z06 rims on it, and now have 56,000 miles.(3 years later.) If one is a 6-speed, get that one, you won't regret it.

I like the Red one because i like red. The milage is really a determining factor IMO.
