Corvette Club loses a new friend
About 2 months ago, our Corvette club in Mobile, AL met a new friend named Fred. He was 71 and recently bought his first vette. He and his wife recently moved to the area. He joined the club and came on his first outing with us in January.
We met at a member's house and then 15 of us cruised the rolling hills of Alabama, ate at a local restaurant in some small little town then drove back to the house for refreshments. We all got to meet Fred for the first time that day. He really enjoyed it.
Well the next day he was admitted to the hospital and stayed there ever since. We just found out he passed away.
We ask for your prayer support for our friend Fred and his wife and their extended family. One blessing that came out of this is that Fred's wife said that Corvette cruise he was on with us really cheered him up as he had been down lately. She said it was the most fun he had in quite some time.
It was a real pleasure and a blessing to be part of one of this man's last joy's in this life. Peace to you Fred!

I am glad that God allowed Fred to go on that cruise with your group before his admission into the hospital and his ultimate death.
You all gave him a chance to drive in his first Vette with a group of other Vette enthusiasts just one day before spending what would be the final 2 months of his life in the hospital.
You and your club should be proud of what you were able to give to him prior to his passing.
