bought mine from Monica @ Maxie Price, told her no sticker, told me it already had one but she would have it removed and fill in the holes, it's good she has a sense of humor. I gave her some advertisement on the way home to NY on the temp plate but that was negotiated in the price

Years ago, I purchased a brand new '94 GT Stang off the showroom floor. I told them that under no circumstances were they to attach their emblems. (They RIVETED them on, (didn't even use aluminum rivets)) Their emblem was this HUGE start like a sheriff's star.

When I arrived to pick it up, I couldn't believe they drilled 3 holes to attach this unsightly, stupid looking star. They told me that management said they couldn't sell the car without it. I said they couldn't sell me a car with it.

I left, went across town and bought one an hour later.

I've noticed that not one person who responded to this thread is from California. I've always noticed that every car I see with a dealer emblem or sticker is always from out of state, and that I have NEVER (not even once) seen a car with a dealer logo from California.

Does anyone know if there is a law here that prevents this? I can't believe that anyone puts up with this practice on any type of car.

No dealer sticker on mine....thought it was strange, but did not ask them about it.

when i ordered my '01 - told them I did not want a sticker on it and if there was i would not take the car - When I picked it up - There was NO sticker.
