The simple solution is to keep the C5 and just add the C6 and work both Forums! That's how I handle the C3 and C5 ... I'm the Switzerland of C-land.

You are a gentleman, for your honest review. The C6 will grow on us all as did the C5, I am not parting with my C5. I had to make a decision when I bought mine and I picked the C5. GM nixed the C5 early as business call to build one platform to be shared with the XLR. Great car. But I am an design buff. I know I lost money in buying my C5, but I know my chassis was only engineered for my car. It is a racecar design that is probably over built and too heavy. But it is proven engineering nevertheless. Good luck and I will monitor the C6 forum to see about owner tics. My choice on the C5 was also influenced on just how lttle problems the C5 has. Kudos for the General.

Congrats to the C6! I drove my 2cnd one this weekend. I was at a dealership and one of the guys I know quite well there insisted I take another test drive. Obviously he thinks a 2nd drive will have more influence. I cant see myself in one for so many reasons - none of them, BTW, are financial.

I will jump into the fray here with a bit of the opposite view point and am being honest with my opinion. I hate the interior of my C5, it is cheap looking, and the seats are coming apart at 65K miles, along with many others I have seen in my customer base at the same or even less mileage.
FOR ME and I repeat FOR ME, I like the feel of being part of the car when I am driving, I got that with my 85(my 85 had some serious suspension work done and would blow away the C5) and I get that with the C6. I like the smaller interior and when pushing that car hard through the turns, don't feel as though I am going to slide 10 feet across the interior or feel I have a large car to handle. With the C5, I feel like I am driving a better handling big Cadillac or Lincoln Town Car.
My 98 is now my daily driver, but when the sun is out it is the C6 that I climb into. I have about 2K on it and just like driving so much more than the C5.
The C6 is definitely tighter, but not from a rattle perspective, it just feels so much better from a driveability perspective. I understand it is new, and I do take that into account, but dang, it is a smooth car to drive!!!
I am extremely happy with the decision to get a C6, and have never looked back with any regret.
I am going to invest some pennies(read that as major $$$) into the suspension and the interior of the C5 to see if it helps, but I am definitely a fan of the C6.
If I didn't like it, I could have easily moved it for what I paid for it, even had a guy offer a touch more, when I had less than 500 miles on it, so justifying the $$$ already spent is not the issue for me.
Again it is just my own opinion, but a bit opposite from most in this section.

I recently got to drive a c6 auto with the 3.15 gears and it was a blast! the auto was just a rocket and was a nice change since I'm used to manual cars. I can honestly say ythe c6 blows the c5 outta the water much more than I expected it felt like it was a automatic z06, which is what they need to make for those who love the 1/4!

I recently bought a 68 427 vert but I'm looking for a 95-96 c4 vert and NOW I've added a c6 vert to my want list!

guys drive it I promise you will be trading your c5 in right after you drive it!

Exactly why I got another C5 instead of a C6.

If I wanted to spend an additional $35,000 over the C5's cost to buy a hideous squash-ended car designed for Europeans - not Americans - I'd probably tell my keepers at the asylum to increase my meds.
