Thanks Andy, I get rubber in all four gears! Alot of it!
I got my car back from Andy @ A&A Corvette on Friday and have been learning to drive all over again, or should I say all over the place, just kidding. But it is one h*ll of a hand full. First gear is non existent, I have 4.10's and with anything but just a light ease on to 1/2 throttle sends the tires up in smoke ( I have been just getting the car rolling to about 10 - 15 mph in 1st) get it in 2nd and ease on to 1/2 - 3/4 throttle lightly hazing the tires anything more and it rev's to redline just like neutral the tires let go so bad. So I short shift 3rd and roll onto 3/4 - full throttle and as soon as it starts grabbing some boost it turns into guided missle, it is only now that you can feel the power as it is being put to the ground except for an ever so pleasant 30 feet of rubber at the top of 3rd once its making max boost. It is so much fun to have a car that pulls so violently fast in 3rd and then have enough power to let 'em go a little up top rather than after a power shift, which by the way has just seemed out of the question at this point. So on to 4th with a little more rubber up around 100mph and and a blink later 140+ :leaving: 5th passing power on the freeway is like downshifting and hammering it in 3rd with the old motor. 6th gear is crazy too with a little boost from a low rpm. It sounds just simply wicked! Much more rumpty then I expected and since I don't street race and didn't need a sleeper I love it. It really feels like a big block at idle. But a lamborghini with a king kong NOS unit when you get on it!
I love my car so much now, I will take it to the track within the next two weeks on my CCW slicks and skinnies. Hope to hook (yeah right) but still should boogie. I plan to do a few passes just launching the car and grab a couple gears and coast to stay in the 12's. After I get my 60' technique down I will make a full hard pass. I know 10's are possible with this set up we will see what we can manage at Carlsbad before they kick me off for no cage.
Wish me luck and thanks again to Andy @ A&A we all know he is the legend on the west coast, Richard @ West Coast Cylinder Heads, and Rex Horst. You guys made my car an animal. This car defines scary fast as far as most people are concerned. :steering:

Congrads. Sounds like a beast. Question- What do you have your rev limitor set at? You mentioned you have 4.10s and 140 in 4th gear.

My mods are all in sig. Rev limiter is set at 6200 I believe, and the shift light is set at 6000. It was not going to 140 mph in 4th I think more like around 120 mph. 140 mph is grabbing 5th but it all happens so fast at that speed I didn't get to see the actual mph at each shift. I can't even watch the tach. Thank god for the shift light because it grabs rpm's quick.

I know the feeling, I'm having to learn to drive my "new" car from scratch....WOT isn't an option in the first 3 gears at any time....just be careful learning...hope to see you at an upcoming event.
