U may want to consider heat wrapping the lower exhaust and turbo pipe they look so close and you may face a horrid turbo over heating issue .

Do you think a varam duct will help keep the heat from getting back in the engine? Like If you put one on the exhaust housing, would it precharge the exhaust and get the air/heat out faster?

I’ll find out for sure this evening but I remember him saying cause of the extra material on the dart block and unused boses I believe. It’s just the passenger side. Also the cradle on my passenger side had to have a tad bit trimmed off of it as well and found out today there is a few spots in the frame that needed a touch up. I’ll post pics.

yes i agree. We are gonna relocate as many wires as possible, wrap everything we can, Ive got blankets for the turbos themselves but we are planning on heat wrapping and shielding as much as possible.

we are gonna take a look at anything that can help on heat. I have the front plate cover removed to allow more air into the engine compartment and may look at a different hood or take out the back trim to allow air to escape.

Why not have took the time to clean up your frame components. From the dull dingy cast aluminum nickel sht and powder coat it back or silver or something a wire brush and a drill combined with some degreaser and a pair of safety glasses will pull off all that nasty oxidation and leave u a bright finishing. I just did my front A arms turned well but was a little time consuming go slow with the drill until u know how your brush is reacting to the metal just a Pinter to get u looking all spiff! The car is surely worth the extra. I wasn’t done in this shot but it kinda gives ya a insight of what it could be with further cleaning .

It’s a start to getting super shiny again.

That’s a great idea I just don’t have the time with 14 hour work days 7 days a week and the work is being performed by a shop across town. My car has been down for about a year so I’m dying to get it back in the road. I may try to do that at a later date. Yours turned out good.

Im definitely interested to see how the powerband looks with that BTR intake but I wish there were some results on the same setup with another intake(ls2, ls6, holley) to compare apples to apples.

These pics are about 4-6 weeks old. Haven’t been by the shop in about 6 weeks to check on progress cause I’ve been trying to just forget that I even have a car .. that way one day I’ll get a call and it will be a surprise lol. I’m not good at down time. It’s officially been a year since my car spun the Innovators west balancer that seized on my snout putting my car down.
