But if top speed is your main goal, then the aero considerations could be considered and going A2W.

if it's just a fast car you can use anywhere and everywhere...I'd keep it simple with A2A.
The goal is 240+ at a Florida 2.7 mile event so that said many things to consider this winter. I need to work through how I want to slowly get to that and be money conscious

Maintaining high speeds over distance....aero is even more important, especially in terms of not taking off.

I would definitely look into aero to ensure there is no lift, and ideally downforce. I wouldn't be concerned with trying to make the car lighter

Agreed on the aero honestly the car is as light as it is gonna get right now weighs about what a stock Z06 did from the factory. I will loose a few pounds when I remove the C02 crap and will gain a few back when I do lexan side windows. Its a give and take to say the least. At this point the longer 2.7 mile distances are a ways off a year or so I would say at best. Gonna go a couple half mile events and 1 mile event next year for sure. Just happy I got this event in and the combination actually worked.

All ready for hibernation. Need to change the oil and drain the E85 and place some 91 with stable in it. Could also use a detail granted it needs a paint job if I am honest. LOL Would like to tackle the lexan windows this winter but we shall see.

Thank you.
I have a 2.93 rear end with a 27.3 inch tall tire. At 7,100 rpm I max out right at 197mph in 4th. My plan next year is to try some halfmile events and see if I can get a 190mph half mile.

So you still have C5 trNny with 27 spline output shaft because I dont think any vendor have 2.93 for C6Z06 diff

Correct I am still using a T56 and a C5 diff. All are fully built from RPM.

Thank you. Funny enough my builder thought I had it painted. Lol. Said nope just buffed it but since he is used to seeing it with a half inch of dust I can't blame him.

those window braces give me an idea Some suction cups on the end of some nice little linkages to hold the %*&$# windows in place at speed

that lexan setup looks like it will do the deed and hold things in place. Very cool setup.

How much Weight do the lexan windows save over the glass all in?

Thank you they hold pretty snug even before I do the latch on the top. Once that is latched they feel very solid.

To be honest I do not know. The car when I bought it only had the window nets. I can tell you overall the lexan is pretty darn light I would say its at least half the weight of glass. Ad to that all the window mechanisms and its a huge savings. I will admit the cost to build these was not pleasant and it would be a whole lot easier having a different style of cage where I could have functioning windows. I had to come to grips with the fact this is really only a racecar now its licensed for the street but I rarely drive it anyway.
