At least on that setup if it grenades it's easy to service and swap out. I run a street car with torque tube so I opted for the full aluminum piece to avoid this potentiality. Otherwise I would have gone CF. Looks sexy!

Thanks!
I suppose one could question why I spent the money on a CF driveshaft, when I haven’t even been on the dyno or track yet…
Well, as y’all should know, I’m not a professional race car builder. I’m learning things as I go. One of the first things George at Fark’s pointed out was my driveshaft was horribly inadequate as it was a seamed tube. He said it needed to be changed out before I ran it moderately hard…
I’m disappointed, as when I went to my local shop to have them build a driveshaft, I told them what I was doing, and they said they build them all the time.
So, the lesson here, that I’m sure I will not learn, is buy once - cry once…
This project has been fun, frustrating, expensive, yet totally worthwhile…. I’ve learned a lot. Hopefully, I can help anyone that loses their mind in the future…
I can see this project coming together and soon will have some dyno/track data.
Another thing I’m going to have to upgrade is my fuel system…. On M1, I just don’t have the pump/injectors to get where I want to be.

M1? He's lost his mind. LOL. No C10... going straight to the meth?
You're preaching to the choir about paying once. My project has hung out far longer and been far more expensive than it could have been on that basis alone.
Also, I like to tinker....

I don’t know if I’m head of the class, but I’ve definitely gone off the deep end…
I’m so close now…. But, new job has me crazy busy for the next month or so getting spooled up….
I promise I’ll get back on it as soon as I get the chance…

I'm in the same boat being two weeks into a new operation and exhausted daily. No time in the garage at all during the week.... and the summer keeps on ticking by.

Thanks Paul.
Likely Cecil. Maybe Maple Grove or Island. I’ve never been to Island.

Ok… an update.
Since I don’t have time to race regularly, I switched from M1 to X85. My injectors will appreciate it. I removed them to get them cleaned and flowed, and they were all a mess. M1 is tricky stuff and requires a lot of time and attention that I don’t really have.
X85 is better for how I plan to race.
Anyway. It’s ready for the dyno. The plan is dyno next Thursday and I’m going to MIR Friday for a rental.
Fingers crossed.

That Volute setup is pretty slick, and pretty pricey.
If I feel I need some cooling, I’ll just put a nitrous Jet in the charge tube with a solenoid to spray X85 off the rail.
I’m going to be under boost for less than 5 seconds. I’m certainly curious as to how high the IAT will get.
