Anyone running a 10mm torque tube?
I usually only make about a dozen or so passes on the strip a year. Got my torque tube out right now since broke the trans main shaft and shattered the differential case. Haven't disassembled but the torque tube seems fine. It's a 2000 with 126k miles. Should this be an automatic upgrade to the 12mm or is the 10mm good for 575 rwhp?

I run a 10mm propshaft with auto, and pushed 1050rwhp with no issues there. On stock GM couplers the front one came apart after 5 years. I'm going to put in some poly couplers and push for more.

I was planning to inspect the torque tube myself but it was in the car when I dropped off my trans and diff at RPM. They unloaded it from the car and I decided to let them do it. Said they could upgrade the shaft.

The A4 comes with a 10mm torque tube and the M6 comes with the 12mm tube.... Different lengths as well with the M6 tube being shorter cuz the 12 mm couplers are thicker as well as taking larger bolts.....last 10mm tube I broke I wanted to replace it with something stronger, but it ended up with another stock tube....
