Default Single Turbo C5 vs GSXR 750

Ran my buddies gsxr today.

08 GSXR with exhaust
vs
99 C5 with sbe LS2 single turbo on 11psi. 91oct making 630whp/588tq

1st run was from 45 and the bike let out around 100 or so

2nd run was 25-125 per the bikes request. I spun a bit at the top of 1st and a little on the 1-2 shift.

Enjoy!

I still am baffled by the results - he should have beaten you pretty badly, especially at the hit. I'm guessing he was short shifting first big time, or starting in 2nd (didn't even see his front wheel lift off the ground much)? Anyways, very nice running car!
Short shifting? Lol. He just knows how to ride. Come on guys give credit where it's due. I'm not bragging but my car works VERY well with the current combo and pulls like a freight train. I will be running a GSXR 1000 and an R1 next weekend. Now those I don't plan on winning lol.

I love my tires, they are MT et street ll 295/50/16. And I only spun bc I forgot to let air out after a small trip. So I had 30psi in the tires :-(

very nice results . i pulled a 750 gsxr at 650whp with my old A&A setup at 50mph to 150mph .
Im thinking your traps speed should be 132-135mph and his would be around the same .
your car seems to traction really good at that power . im looking into running the same tire
size on my new setup . congrats on the new setup

I gave credit to your car, it seems to run very well.
He was in 1st gear, he knows how to ride. I've heard the dyno I used is "stingy" but it's just a number on a paper. All I care about is how it runs. We did a 45 roll as well (first race) and he was in 1st there also... pulled pretty hard... And a little Google search will show you that most 08 gsxr 750's trap 132-133 and I'm pretty confident that I'm over that by a decent amount.

We are also at 4600ft for anybody that cares.

Exactly, people think bikes are unbeatable or something lol. I would order those tires asap bc MT discontinued them. Took me 3 weeks to get them from discount tire

The higher altitude definitely gives you an advantage over him, with FI. Bikes are certainly beatable, but are extremely rider dependent.

As stated before, your car runs well - no need to take offense with someone questioning race results, which actually shouldn't even be posted here to begin with (really aren't supposed to be posting street races).
lol.

Dude...how many bikes have you been beaten by is the question? "He should have beat you"... lol. And vids like this ARE allowed to be posted here.....if you don't like it, why would you even comment?

Nice kills OP. No surprise here. Been racing and beating bikes for a long time...looks legit to me. As you mentioned numbers don't matter...how it works does.

GOOD KILLS!!!

My 2011, basically the same as 08 motor wise, trapped about 134 stock, trapped almost 140 with me at 175lbs with flash, lowered, geared and strapped. They woke up very well with mods.

25 to 125mph seems like a strange request for a motorcycle. They usually want to race from a speed that will give them instant acceleration until the point at which they hit the speed limiter. This is so excuses can be made as to why they didn't win. In all actuality, the race was over before it began because sport bikes are slow and a poor choice for straight line racing.

Why did your "friend" let out at 100mph and why are you even picking on 08 GSXR 750s? GSXR = Gets Slower X the Race.

I raced a modified Limited Edition ZX10R when the car had a stock LS1 and was cam only with the twin turbo kit. We started from 70 mph and the race was clearly in my favor by 100. I went ahead and stayed in it till 170mph to create a gap that was bus lengths long.

Single Turbo C5 vs GSXR 750 - YouTube

Nice runs!

I'm surprised you hooked 1st gear.. Looks like the combo works for you.

A good running GSXR750 with a 175lb rider with some skill will average 133-136....usually in 1000' DA or better. I have seen a few hit 140 mph with a track setup and light rider.

My 01 GSXR1000 would run 9.90@140-142 depending on the track and my weight at the time.. That was with 154 rwhp and I made 50-60 passes at least on it.. Stock wheel base, lowered/strapped, -1 up front and pipe/tune.. I was usually around 180-185lbs suited back then.

So for a 750 to run 140 mph, it would have to find 15-20hp over stock somewhere

very impressed with that tire, I want to try those next rounds

I like racing sub 1000cc bikes down low for research purposes , if you can hang with them in there turf, your car will be a beast up top. my research bike is my buddies 2012 ninja 636, 130-132 bike

for comparison, here's my 40-140 run
I spun 2nd, got the gap, then had to catch up

Usually, In a car with decent power, if you can remotely stay close to a bike in matching hp to hp relationship, you can usually pull them on the top end after 140 ish...aerodynamics suck on bikes past 150 mph and the HP/Aero-drag ratio goes in the tank.

Bikes are usually quicker in the midrange and often have to be ran down....

Here is some basics on what you need to beat em.

Modern 600 (100hp) = 500 rwhp car
GSXR750 (135hp) = 600-650 rwhp
Older 1000s(150-160hp) = 700-750 rwhp
Newer 1000s (170-190hp) = 900+
Newer ZX14s (200-215hp) = 900-1000 rwhp..

This is just a ball park for those unfamiliar with sport bike performance. Ofcourse there is about a million variables that affect this so....take it with a grain of salt.--

I've been drag, roll, Land speed racing sport bikes for 18 years so....I've done a few things with em..
