28 degrees timing. Need to pull any with 125 shot?
My tuner and the person selling me the kit says I will be fine not pulling timing with 125 on my heads cam car. Thoughts?

About every motor & more so with a aftermarket cam is diff. If me I would pull it down to like 24 deg's then add 1 deg just to be save on the motor & parts.. Robert

It would be safer to pull a couple degrees out, my car runs 28 degrees at the top and I am spraying 100 on a plate setup every time I race with 0 issues. I've probably made 40-50 quarter mile runs with no problems, but I sometimes toss a couple gallons of 110 fuel in at the track because I know it's a little aggressive. I sprayed 150 one time but it didn't pick up any et or mph, so ya its kinda up to you.

You could get a timing tuner
I ran one and pulled around 4-6* with a 150 shot and had no KR but a LOT of power. It's better to be safe than sorry with the stock pistons. They wont handle detonation

in the initial tuning phase i'll def pull 2-3, then slowly put it back in if the car agrees and everything is all dialed in. Granted I sprayed before on full timing (28*) on accident, and the car felt amazing like fast and furious warp speed amazing, but as they say, your car will be the fastest before it blows up. be conservative, then add it back in
