800 wheel. what clutch
#2
I would go with the RXT clutch from Mcleod twin disc. Running it in my C5 right now, know where near 800rwhp yet but plans on getting there. Clutch pedal feels the same if not better then stock for easy dis engagement. I was running the RST clutch before this but was noticing it starting to slip a little bit when I shifted into 3rd at full boost when I had good traction. There are some good deals right now on Mcleod clutch under "parts for sale" on this forum. Do the speed bleeder kit also 100 times easier to bleed the slave cylinder. IMO

I like the things I hear about the rtx. I drove a car with a mantic9000 and couldn't believe how heavy the clutch was. I see used rps carbons show up from time to time. trying to decide if they are worth the risk of buying used

I have a RXT with close to 900. No slips and drives great for 2 years. Would love to have a RPS DC3, but it cost more to rebuild them than the RXT is new.

the monsters ive had were what I would consider slightly heavier then stock. the mantic 9000 my friend had. omg it must have been twice as stiff as stock.
looks like I might be leaning towards the RXT

ISIS SUCKS FAT CHOAD
I have a textralia triple disk clutch. It holds the power but is definitely a lot harder on the left leg than a mantic single or a McLeod RST.
I heard good things about the Mcleoud RXT and the Mantic Twin.
Never heard anything bad about the RPS twin or Triple disk clutch except the price.

Ive had my RXT with nitrous and FI combos over 700+ rwhp for 4 years and 1 proactive rebuild. No complaints at all with this clutch.

You cannot beat the RXT for your power level...period. The price is cheaper than the others and the clutch will take whatever you throw at it. Feels pretty close to stock also.

i welded 2 monster clutches because the disk would melt when I launched at the track and would slip the clutch. mind you I was cutting 1.5x 60 fts so when I say I only slipped it the first 10ft. that's all it took to weld two of them in place. and the noise and clatter it made. drove me nuts. any one rode in my car thought the trans was broken.
looks like its set on getting a RXT
