Default ***Late Model Racecraft re-sets 1/4 mile record***

We took Mr. Brown's LMR800 Twin Turbo C7 to Houston Raceway Park yesterday. Temperature outside was right at 99-100 deg. all day long and track temp was over 140 (148 to be exact). Not the best conditions for going down the track, but we got some good results anyway.

We have held the 1/4 mile record for some time now with a previous customer car. This car managed to better that record by running a 9.95 @144.46! We still have to some work to do on the Automatic transmission mechanically and on the computer side to fine tune this baby to run much quicker. With the power and MPH she ran, we have no doubt we think this car will be able to run closer to the 9.7-9.6s range in a littler better air once the trans is fine tuned.

Keep in mind this car is still utilizing a STOCK engine with Late Model Racecraft's Twin Turbo Package (LMR800). All that was added was a Circle D Billet Multi Disc Torque Converter (Thanks Chris).

A professional video was filmed and will take some time to edit, so expect to see that next week. Here is a quick video for now of the run.

Enjoy!

C5's may be getting older, but they still have a really low drag coefficient and hold their own.

I think the best stock motor time, at least on the forum, is 9.16. That's with stock bottom end and heads.

I didn't care about anything else in the videos except the turbo location. How the heck is the hotside routed on this thing?!
