Default Re-Tune After LT Headers?

Need help a friend of mine asked me & I'm unsure what is 100% correct.
Is a Re-tune a must after a LT header install? I know to get the most power gain it is, but the concern is for engine safety.
I know this may sound dumb, could it cause a lean condition w/out re-tune?
Thanks for any input/help.

01' MN6 w/ Novi 1500, I think around 6-7psi.

I think it is necessary. Especially with boost. It becomes more necessary for fine tuning.

What are the problems one could see running LT headers w/out Re-Tuning?

Being FI I would definitely do it- it has the potential to mess up WOT AFRs, which is very important with FI and stock motor.

I would deft.do a retune as it will help out across the whole board, plus its not worth braking something
