Gain 50+hp for free in 1 minute
Step 1. Hardest part, locate blower and filter
Step 2. Disconnect pipe from blower and filter using a flat head screwdriver
Step 3. Pull out restrictor plate
Step 4. Put pipe back on with filter connected.
Restrictor plate close up. Measuring tape shows it went from a 2 3/4" to 4". Hopefully I can hit 12psi??? instead of 8 psi now. Now that should equate to more than 50hp but I'm going full retard and lowering the VE table for the addition of a 50/50 mix of meth. My last run with no meth I went like this
WOT
50mph to 112mph
Peak boost @ 7.8 psi (2nd gear 5,690 @ 68mph)
Timing 12* down to 9*
Max rpm of 6418 @ 81 mph (only shift during run, 2nd to 3rd)
IAT 72* to 126*
7.0x seconds

I drove around with my restrictor plate in for awhile and decided to take it out and it felt much stronger without it... I see almost 12psi with a 4.38 pulley on my d1sc without the plate and was seeing 8psi with it installed so I'm thinking you will have similar results... I do have a 4" inlet as opposed to the plastic dongle though

I made a hit on mine at 4:45 am this morning on the way home from work on 45.. LOL
Probably do it again tomorrow morning on the way home.. No traffic = zoom zoom.

Woke up late this morning and will try in the morning. I always log when I drive the car unfortunately. I'm also to scared to zoom zoom on the highway. I always think there's a cop watching. If the AFR is in the mid 10 range then I'll leave the VE table alone. I have a #5 and #10 nozzles but right now I have the #10 in. I tried the 5 a while back but it wasn't enough to keep the temps down.

If your AFR is in the mid 10s without meth, its gonna go pig rich on a #10 nozzle.. You're gonna have to pull some fuel out of the map..
Ideally you want it at 10.8-11.0 AFR ON meth.. Any richer then that and it's just killing power, and not likely any safer. Only benefit to having it richer then that is if you have a meth system problem, more fuel from injectors gives you room for error..
Mine is VERY meth dependent.. I'm around 10.6-11.0 AFR on meth in 3rd gear (1:1). Its a little leaner in 1st/2nd gear so...I don't really want to lean it out much more.
The difference from 10.5 AFR to 11.2 AFR is about +40hp (@11.2).. Not to mention the engine is less responsive when its pig rich.
You need to hammer on that sh*t, don't be scurred.. I made a hit on 45 today right in your neck of the woods at lunch time. LOL. 60-120 happens pretty quick tho.

You really want to do your tuning in 3rd gear (1:1). I have found though that 1st gear will be a leaner then 2nd, and 2nd is slightly leaner then 3rd, at least at the beginning of 2nd.. Not sure why this is but, I saw it with the stick tranny too.
Your AFR without meth is perfect!
Also I wouldn't let it shift to 4th at wot. 4th is highway cruise only, not for power.

Well my car doesnt like anything above 12* timing or my knock sensors are to sensitive. Above 1.20g I got 0.5* KR and just below that I got 2* KR. The KR started right before I went WOT.
Meth on full tilt with #10 nozzle 50/50 mix
6100 shift point and it shifted to 3rd right below 6400
59 mph to 115mph
11.3 to 10.5 AFR
11 to 12.5* timing
73 to 90* IAT
Started at 7 psi and ended the run at 7.5 psi
6.4 seconds
Peak Boost
6,000 rpm
11.5* timing
11.1 psi
11.3 AFR
79* IAT
85% IDC

Still seems odd you are getting KR at 11 psi with the AFR that rich and meth/water, especially with that low of an IAT...
I'm not recommending you do anything with the knock sensors but, I know you can program their sensitivity and the decay rate.. I'm not sure what mine are set on..I'd have to look when I'm home.

But I got 8 gals of 50/50. I think im going to make a hit on my backroad with 13* timing and pull a plug. If it looks good I'll get with someone to see about lowering the sensitivity just a tad.
Doug, ever had to do that on these cars before?

How long should one be able to stay at or close to max boost? It seems without the restrictor plate I only get 11 psi for a second then most of the run it's around 8 psi. Should you stay at 11 psi once you reach it until you shift?
