WOT shift

latest run;
I unhooked the HPT from the OBD connector to see if that had any effect. Set the shift rpm at 5600 and speed much lower than needed.
Took it out and did about 3 launches from stop. Tried to "drive it off the line" and then hit it. Still a lot of wheel spin (traction control on) Flew right by 6000 and as I let off it hit the limiter.
Tried a 50mph "punch"; it downshifted, and right by 6000, and as I let off, tapped the limiter slightly.
I'm not sure where to go next with this. What would cause the PCM to completely ignore the shift points??

It will not make either shift. I cant run it all the way through (1-2 then 2-3) because I have to get off of it at the 1-2 shift. I then try the 2-3 shift by hitting it at around 50 and let it downshift. Still doesn't shift.
Do like what was said earlier and try 3k shift point. Atleast you may not hit the rev limiter for the umpteenth time and see where it does shift if it does.
I guess I will keep going down. I didn't want to go quite to 3000, because with a 3500 stall, IF, it was going to shift, it would shift time I hit it.

You should never have to "trick" the trans into shifting. Call RPM for a replacement, unless you possibly have a 97-98 computer?

Really??
What (other than slow) would cause it?
I have always wanted to do it, but it looks a little over my skill level, especially since I had heard there were other things (fuel pump?) that had to be done as well.
Thanks

It's not hard, we charge $600 with the replacement PCM. That IS your problem. I have seen it many times. No need to replace anything else in the car.

I sent the trans off to RPM to and they said the 2/3 bands were really bad, along with a few other things. They said it was due to the tune (the same tune I ran for 1 1/2 years with no issue?) I upgraded to a stage VI, but even it will be marginal. Just not possible right now for a stage VII upgrade. A buddy on the forum is running mid 700rwhp with a stage V and has not had an issue, and he occasionally goes to the track.
Anyway; I have the trans installed, but (my luck) developed a no crank issue that we think is related to the MAP. I have one ordered and will install (when I return from vacation) and try again

After I get it back, I will see if it still has the issue. If it does, I will look into it. I wanted to do it before, but there seemed to be some opinions that there would be issues with fuel gauge with a change.
