Default A&A on Ls6

Hey guys I finally ordered my A&A v2 si supercharger. It will be going on an LS6 motor(stock bottom end). My question is to you guys is. What is the most Hp or Boost that can be put on these motors b4 I'll start having to worry?

I plan to do the same someday. Going to run 9 lbs. I've heard of lots of people going that high on stock engines. 8 always seems the go to for safety though.

With an LS6 A&A usually sends the 3.8 pulley. In my fathers stock engine Z with long tubes he sees 10 psi and makes 620 to the wheels. The longevity of the motor will pretty much depend on the tune. Some guys make 700 for years on a stock bottom, some blow up after a season at 550.

I made 719 at 13 psi without the restrictor plate. I've since backed it down to under 600 with the plate and 10 psi. As long as the tune is good you should be fine. Also, meth is a good idea.

nope, that was 93 octane, no timing(12 degrees), 11.5psi, no meth. It would have made more but we were out of fuel at 5600rpms. I have a piston on my desk(dude at works car) from an engine cause of a meth pump locking up...the tune was very reliant on meth...which I wouldn't recommend lol.

We all run E85 now mostly.

IMO 600ish 10psi stock bottom no meth. 700 with meth or e85. Then there's people like Milan... 899 rwhp stock bottom E85... All in the tune and a bit of luck with your motor being a good one.

I'm stock bottom pump gas only 606/531 9 psi 3.85 Pulley P1SC1. (mods in sig)

I have an 03 z06 stock(except for headers and catback) with p1sc procharger twin innercoolers. with 3.85 pulley and a boost a pump, but only seeing about 7.5lbs of boost, does that seem right? Or could I have belt slip?

All in the tune and fuel. Running a 3.6 right now. Made 660 a couple years ago.

Wow....

00 T56

05 LS6 bottom end

AFR 205cc box stock heads

Fast 90

Trak cam 233 237 .649/.598- 112

Precision p-trim turbos 68/69 journal (non billets)

Superflow dyno, south florida heat, we did everything we could take back off the power..it just kept making more. Ran it like this for a long time as a daily driver, as it was my only vehicle. No problems at all. The stock trans didn't even mind it. The diff(s)....not so much.

My stock 29k mile LS6 had 10-11 psi running through it for about 4k miles before the typical #5 & #7 pistons broke ring lands.. It did make 622rwhp on a completely stock engine other then headers/x pipe.

10 psi, 13* timing, 10.4 AFR on meth....(11.2 AFR without meth).... Broke pistons on meth...

#7

#5

All of the other pistons were perfect, as were the head gaskets...Plugs looked great and no signs of detonation...--the #5/7 disagreed.

Wow, i am sorry that happened. That is not nice.
Question:
After going through that and roasting #5/7, is there anything you would have or could have done differently with your setup to keep that from happening? Or get a warning so you could prevent it? Just curious as I am seriously looking into a supercharger setup for myself. Stock bottom LS6, has heads, cam, usual bolt ons.

Thanks
JB
