Default Diaper. @PBIR you'll need one.

10.99 or quicker,..at Palm Beach International Raceway(PBIR) all vehicles are gonna need a diaper.

Who is currently using one? Pics? Not sure what else I have to stuff in this thing..or what I can.

I had really hoped I would be closer to 90 before I was told I need a diaper again.

^^YES! We were gonna make an aluminum one, different looking then that but very sweet idea. I think based on space, that's the only option. Make that or did you buy it? Family owns an aluminum fab co so I can bend it up but, if it's affordable,..hell..

(Thanks!)

Yup..exactly. They keep scaring people away. Starting to think they only want 09 and newer cars at a drag strip these days.

Guessing they made that one.....we're gonna make a couple in case he doesn't wanna make/can't point in the direction. My car is over in the fab shop so once we finish my other stuff, we may do this at the same time.

If you're referring to me, yes I made that. It was custom made to fit Digivex's car.

Will it fit with batwing, LS2 pan, power steering, ac, stock bellhousing, brand x headers, etc. , I don't know.

I do have a pattern, but don't have different cars to test it on,

I was thinking it would have to be unique to pan/bellhousing and maybe exhaust.

Any plans to make more? Need more testers? Etc... if your willing to make more,..let us know. I understand you'd likely need a car to build/try on.

When I was a young lad the big tire N20 cars were running 9s at our local track. I run that now with pump gas in a car that has a functional air conditioner. And that's with a 346 LS6. The technology now is amazing.

sorry for such a noob question, but why does having such a low time require one to use a diaper or pan?

is it for catching parts of the motor that may explode? LOL

Yep, not necessarily directed towards Corvettes & it's up to the track if they want to enforce that rule.

Must have been a lot of oil downs there lately.

Actually I wouldn't run without a belly pan anymore, saw too many cars totaled because they ran through their own fluids.

^^ Exactly

The idea is to contain the fluids should your motor blow so you and the person you are racing don't run over your oil and crash. The belly pan/diaper also reduces cleanup time as they don't have to mop up half the track.

They are a necessary evil IMHO. You can easily go from a damaged engine only with containment to wreck from driving in your oil.

The one Jay made is real nice. I run an Orme Bros diaper.
